Clestra Hauserman’s M1 system partition, London Phonebooth, and Operable Wall were installed in Kookmin University, one of the leading universities in Korea, for their K-LAB project.
Double-glazed M1 was used to separate the meeting rooms from the open spaces. The simple and modern drawings of Hanmi Design emphasised the colour black, as well as industrial finishes associated with wooden textures across all spaces. Clestra’s steel and timber solid doors match the overall atmosphere and create a clear visual identity between all rooms. Along with meeting rooms and wider spaces, the designer also acknowledged the need for individual private areas to allow students somewhere to have private phone conversations without leaving the facility. In response, Clestra delivered its trademark Royal London Phone Booths. An operable wall was installed in the Department of Computer Science to offer students a spacious classroom, as well as an inviting conference space.
